Design, Art and Visual Science

Vladi was born and raised in the Czech Republic. She studied Architecture and Building Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, as well as at Fachhochschule Frankfurt am Main in Germany. She further developed her creative skills in visual arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.

With over six years of experience as an Architect and Building Engineer in Europe, she seamlessly transitioned into the world of architectural lighting. When she moved to Australia, she discovered lighting design, and light as a medium opened new opportunities for her creativity. Bringing in deep understanding of how light engages with space, material and colour; infused with artistic ability to tailor our experience.

She gained her lighting expertise in some of Australia’s leading lighting consultancies in Sydney and has been working in lighting design since 2014.

She never stopped her artistic endeavors. And found the way how to bring both passions together during her Illumination Science course at The University of Sydney. As part of her studies she conducted a unique research focused on lighting phenomena in artwork, which was later awarded with Philips Prize for Illumination Science.

Vladi is IALD Member and Committee Secretary of Colour Society Australia, NSW division.
